Grand Reversi大リバーシ
The flipping game on a 10×10 board: a longer game, with more middle to fight over before anyone reaches an edge.
The big board the play-by-mail sites kept beside the usual one — ItsYourTurn called it Flipversi 10×10. The same rules, thirty-six more squares, and the corners farther from everything.
Inspired by Othello. The name belongs to its owner; this is our own version of the rules.
Also known as Flipversi 10x10.
Object目的
- Finish with more discs than the other colour.
- The game ends when neither colour has a legal move — usually a full board. Equal counts are a draw.
Board盤
- A 10×10 board.
Play手順
- The centre four squares start with two discs of each colour, on the diagonals.
- The set-up lets a game start the other way: centre discs placed, or laid by the players.
- A disc goes only where it brackets one or more of the other colour in a straight run — any direction — with one of your own at the far end. Every bracketed run turns to your colour.
- A colour with nowhere to go passes, and the other colour plays again. You may not pass while you have a move.
- When neither colour can move, the discs are counted.
House rules細則
- Either colour may open, or the first stone may be drawn by lot.
- The threat reading, hints and the chance-of-winning bar are switched off: there are no lines to read here, only discs to count.
- 10×10, and only that. Ninety-six discs go down instead of sixty, and the edges are two squares farther from the centre, so the opening runs long before either side touches one.
