The traditional losing form of gomoku.

目的
- Avoid making 5 in a row: the player who makes it loses.
盤
- A square board of 9, 13, 15, 19 lines; 9×9 by default.
手順
- Players take turns placing one stone on an empty point.
- A full board is a win for the player who opened.
細則
- Either colour may open, or the first stone may be drawn by lot.
- The threat reading, hints and the chance-of-winning bar apply.
- 9×9 is sharp; 15×15 is a long, slow squeeze.
