Sannuki-renju三抜き連珠

The capture game where a flank takes a pair or a triple. Fifteen stones win.

Our name for the three-removal form of the capture game, played in the West as a tournament variant since the 1980s.

Inspired by Keryo-Pente. The name belongs to its owner; this is our own version of the rules.

Also known as Pro Pente, Keryo Pente.

Object目的

  • Be the first to make a line: 5 or more in a row wins.
  • Capturing 15 enemy stones also wins, taken in pairs and triples.

Board

  • A square board of 9, 13, 15, 19 lines; 9×9 by default.

Play手順

  • Players take turns placing one stone on an empty point.
  • Flanking exactly two or exactly three enemy stones in a line, with your stone at each end, captures them. Only the closing stone captures; moving into a flanked position is safe.
  • A full board with no line is a draw.

  • Openings on offer: Free, Pro, Long Pro, Swap, Swap2.
  • The threat reading, hints and the chance-of-winning bar apply.
  • 19×19 traditionally; 15×15 for a shorter game.
