The international rules on the 8×8 board: men take backward, kings fly, and the longest capture is compulsory.
International draughts on the smaller board and with the twelve men of American checkers, as it is played in Brazil and, since 1985, at the world championships of 8×8 draughts. The rules here are those of Brazil's draughts confederation (CBJD, Regras Oficiais), whose draws differ from the FMJD's rules for the 8×8 board; where the two disagree, this game follows Brazil's.

The object 目的
- Leave the other side with no piece that can move: jump theirs off the board until none is left, or shut in whatever remains.
- No lines and nothing placed after the start: every piece is down from the first move, and the whole game is in how they step and jump.
