Maker and Breaker作り手と壊し手

Both players place either colour. One wants a five, the other wants none.

Our name for the classic order-versus-chaos game published in 1981, which mathematicians call a maker-breaker game.

Inspired by Order and Chaos. The name belongs to its owner; this is our own version of the rules.

Object目的

  • Black is the Maker and wins if any 5 in a row of one colour appears, whoever placed it. White is the Breaker and wins if the board fills with no such line.

Board

  • A 6×6 board.

Play手順

  • Players take turns placing one stone on an empty point.
  • On your turn you choose which colour to place.
  • A full board with no line is the Breaker's win.

House rules細則

  • Black always opens.
  • The threat reading, hints and the chance-of-winning bar are switched off: stones move after they are placed, so a line-by-line reading says nothing true.
  • 6×6.
